私が作品制作をする際にテーマにすることや、きっかけはいつも「時」に関係している。
最初は単純に時計の内部構造や形状を好んで、歯車や砂時計をモチーフに制作していただけなのだが、いつからか過去、現在、未来などの時の流れを意識するようになり、それによって起こる様々なものの変化に魅力を感じるようになった。その中で、地球における継続的な水の循環について考える機会があり、考えるほどにそのスケールの大きさに驚き、心を動かされた。それによって、常に形を変えて変化しているものの変わることのない本質、変化の中に感じる瞬間的な造形美をさらに意識するようになり、そこから生まれた感情を形にすることが現在の私の創作活動における表現方法である。
私は金属で作品を制作しており、その中でも主に銅を使用している。 表現方法のベースにあるのは現在大学で学んでいる彫金という技術である。 金属の装飾や仕上げの伝統技法を使用し、着色に塗料は一切使わず、銅に生じる錆を利用して表現している。

I always do art production under the theme of “time”.
When I just began production activity, I was simply interested in internal structure and the shape of the clock. Therefore I made the work which assumed a gear or an hourglass. However, in my production activity, I came to be conscious of flowing time.It was very attractive for me that various things would be changed by progress of time. Furthermore, I obtained an opportunity to think about continuous water cycle on the earth and I was impressed by the size of the scale. From these, I learned the essence of the things which wouldn't change. In addition, I learned the momentary beauty on the thing which would change. These are made use of in an expression method in my creative activity of the present.
When I produce a work, I use metal, and I use copper mainly.I produce work while making full use of a technique called metal engraving learning at a university. The metal decoration and finish were done by using traditional technique, and no use the coloring agent. I use rust which occurs to copper instead of coloring agent.
